A touch and learn farm puzzle!

The Tactile Puzzle features large pieces and lots of tactile areas to explore. Using the Montessori method, encourage children to show their knowledge of the pictures by saying what they see and promote sensory discovery by talking with them about how the tactile puzzle pieces feel. Children should be able to complete the puzzle independently, thanks to the self-correcting pieces.

Instructions: Tactile Puzzle (Montessori)

Quick Instructions: 

Lay the puzzle pieces out on the table and encourage the children to show their knowledge of the pictures. What can they see? Encourage tactile exploration of the textured pieces (either from the beginning or after the puzzle is complete). Leave them to assemble the puzzles themselves, aided by the self-correcting pieces. If they find it difficult, give them some clues to help find the right piece.
